Strictly Come Dancing’s Halloween Week was not short of drama, with injuries, costume malfunctions, and Michelle Visage getting the highest score of the series with her Addams’ family inspired routine. However, fans were left upset by Catherine’s departure this evening, with some even calling for former head judge Len Goodman’s return.
Catherine Tyldesley became the fifth celebrity to leave the competition this evening, after her Cha Cha Cha to Scared Of The Dark by Steps left her in the danger zone, scoring just 24 points from the judges.
She landed herself in the bottom two alongside BBC presenter Mike Bushell, but judges chose to save the latter, leaving many fans furious with the decision.
Many assumed it would be Mike’s turn to depart, as it was the second time he’d found himself in the bottom two, after being saved last weekend against David James.
After the judge’s decided to save Mike, some fans even called for head judge Len’s return after the result was finalised, calling the scoring “all over the place”.

One viewer tweeted: “It’s starting to lose it credibility scoring literally all over the place! needs to be sorted out ASAP come back len all is forgiven!!! #Strictly.”
“Come back Len Goodman! The scoring has been all over the place this series. Totally inconsistent. Watch for them over scoring Mike again next week to justify keeping him in this week #Strictly,” said a third.
“Used to love #strictly, could only manage a couple of weeks with no Len and not watched it since. Len should have been replaced by someone from the SCD family,” shared another frustrated fan.
Another viewer who was clearly missing the old head judge said: “#Strictly rubbish, bring back Len!”
Could he possibly make a return to the show as fans are calling out for him to come back?
This weekend, both Neil Jones and Will Bayley had to miss out on their chance to perform with their respective partners, as they both suffered injuries.
Will Bayley admitted in a video clip in yesterday’s show he thought he'd broken his leg, and was unable to perform.
Host Tess Daly announced Will would be allowed to go through to next week without having to dance with professional partner Janette Manrara.
Neil Jones was also injured this weekend, as footage was shown of the moment that he had to pull out last night’s show.
It is unclear whether Will or Neil will be back performing with their respective partners next week, as viewers will have to wait and see if their injuries heal in time.
This evening saw Catherine Tyldesley knocked out the competition as she was in the bottom two against BBC presenter Mike Bushell.
As Strictly returns next weekend, who will be eliminated from the competition?
Strictly Come Dancing returns next Saturday at 7pm on BBC One.
