Police have been pictured outside Sulli’s home as investigations into her death begin.

The former f(x) star was found dead today by her manager at her home in Sujeong-gu, Seongnam in the Gyeonggi province of South Korea.

And pictures from the area show police have cordoned off Sulli’s two-storey house following her death.

Police are investigating to determine the cause of the star’s death, working off the assumption that the 25-year-old took her own life.

A police official said: ‘Choi seemed to have lived alone in the house. It seems that she took her own life but we are also looking into other possibilities.’

According to Yonhap, a ‘handwritten memo’ was found at the scene but police denied it was a suicide note.

Sulli was found dead at 3.20pm after her manager went to her house when he couldn’t contact her.

Parademics arrived at 3.39pm, where they found Sulli dead on arrival.

SM Entertainment said in a statement: ‘We apologise for conveying such sad and unfortunate news. Sulli has left our side.

‘We cannot believe the situation now and we are just filled with grief.

‘For her family who is grieving after the sudden news of her passing, we earnestly request that you refrain from writing speculative articles or spreading rumours. We express our deep condolences.’

Following the tragic news, a host of K-pop stars have cancelled their events out of respect for Sulli.

Sulli was best known as one of the five original members of f(x), with the girlband debuting in 2009 with SM Entertainment.

Sulli decided to leave the group on hiatus in 2014 after struggling with receiving abuse from trolls.

The singer, real name Choi Jin-ri, made her solo debut earlier this year with her single album Goblin, and held a special stage at SM Town Theatre on 29 June.

While on a break from music, Sulli received praise for her acting roles, including her leading part in the TV drama To The Beautiful You.

It is believed Sulli was working up to the day before her death, having been scheduled to shoot an ad for the bag brand Stretch Angels.
