Caroline Flack has re-followed her boyfriend Lewis Burton, the day after a court heard that she allegedly hit him over the head with a lamp.
The 40-year-old yesterday pleaded not guilty to one charge of common assault after she was arrested on 12 December following a row with Burton, 27.
And although the couple, who have been dating since August, unfollowed each other on social media before the hearing yesterday, it appears they are both following each other again.
This comes after District Judge Julia Newton refused an application from Flack’s defence asking to remove bail conditions that prevented her from contacting Burton directly or indirectly and from attending his address.
Flack’s defence Paul Morris said: ‘They had been in a relationship all of this year and he appears in court today to support her and they remain a couple. She wants to spend time with her partner. If the conditions were lifted there would be no concerns.
‘It’s not an irrelevant point, it’s Christmas, it’s New Year, she’s suffered enough.

‘She is in the public eye – this case has been scrutinised, she will conduct herself properly.’
However, the application was denied, and Caroline put her head in her hands; Burton also put his hand to his face before the couple left Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court separately.
Earlier in the hearing, prosecutor Katie Weiss accused Flack of ‘flouting’ the bail condition that banned her from contacting Lewis, saying: ‘She breached this almost immediately by posting a message on Instagram by writing to my boyfriend I love you.’
The court heard Burton’s 999 call on 12 December, in which he allegedly said: ‘She tried to kill me, mate.’
Weiss said: ‘He is almost begging the operator to send help.
‘She calls him an a******e repeatedly. He had been asleep and had been hit in the head with a lamp. His face was covered in blood.
‘She had seen text messages which had led her to believe he was cheating on her.’

Weiss said Burton told the operator: ‘I’ve just woken up, she has cracked my head open. She tried to kill me mate.’
Weiss continued: ‘It is clear the defendant is manipulative towards him.
‘She calls him an a******e and vile and says he has ruined her life when she has ruined her own life by committing the assault.’
She also told the court that Flack was disruptive in police custody, saying: ‘Her behaviour gets worse, she flips over a table and then has to be restrained on the ground.’
Weiss said that the scene was like a ‘horror movie’ when police arrived at Caroline’s home in Islington on the morning of December.
‘[Burton] made an allegation regarding his girlfriend Caroline. The first police officer arrived some eight minutes later. He knocked on the door and it was opened by both of them.
‘Both were covered in blood and in fact one of the police officers likened the scene to a horror movie.’
Lewis has since claimed that Caroline did not hit him with a lamp. The former pro tennis player wrote on Instagram: ‘It’s heartbreaking I can’t see my girlfriend over Christmas. What I witnessed today was horrible.

‘She did not hit me with a lamp… Arguments do happen every day in every relationship. Gutted I am not allowed to protect her right now.’
Following her departure from court, Caroline broke her silence on her Instagram story, writing: ‘Thankfully I know a lot of you will not believe that you have heard and read following today’s court hearing. Thank you for your continued support and love.
‘It’s going to be a relief when I am able to give my side of the story, when I’m allowed to x.’
The former Love Island host was released on conditional bail. The trial is expected to begin on 4 March at the same court.
