Ant and Dec were once again on hand to over see proceedings at the Bushtucker Trial clearing on this evening’s edition of ! which saw Good Morning Britain star Kate, 52, pitted to take on the London landmark themed challenge. The presenter was nervous she wouldn’t be able to conquer the task to the best of her ability and after completing it, emotions bubbled over and she began crying, forcing the reality hosts to step in.

In the lead up to the the day’s Trial, the remaining campmates accept Caitlyn Jenner, 70, put their names in a hat for the choosing with Nadine Coyle, 34, pulling out Kate’s.

After the decision was finalised, the presenter became teary before heading to the clearing where she met the hosts.

Speaking with Ant and Dec, the campmate declared: “Why on earth was it my name,” and went on to add she had no one to give her a pep talk after Ian Wright, 56, left earlier in the morning.

Hoping to get her hands on all seven stars, she was left hugely dismayed when after it was complete, she had only got five.

After counting out her stars, the broadcaster began to cry, with both Ant and Dec offering their support to her.

Kate explained she didn’t want to let her campmates down as she knew how many of them had struggled with the lack of food.

Dec told her: “You did so well,” to which she then thanked them for their comfort when she was feeling so low.

Reflecting on the Trial, she said: “That was tough, I’ve never tried to unscrew anything with my tongue before, and turns out I’m rubbish at it.”

Speaking of her campmates’ reaction to her news, Kate added: “It feels amazing to come back and feel like you’ve delivered for them, I did it! I’m chuffed to bits.”

Earlier in the episode and following Ian’s departure, the celebrities still left in the jungle reflected on the latest departure,

Coronation Street actor Andrew said: “I’m shocked.

"I expected Ian to be a finalist, he’s such a massive personality but on the other hand I’m extremely grateful to still be here.”

Capital FM Radio host Roman Kemp, 26, added in reach of the final: “We are so close now all of us.”

Caitlyn quipped: “In five days my plane leaves, that’s the way I’m looking at it!”

Latest odds from bookmakers thepools.com have Andrew as the winner of this year’s series, with his chances of victory sitting at 4/9.

Former X Factor contestant Myles Stephenson, 28, seems like he might be the one leaving tonight as his chances of becoming champion stand at 100/1.
