Coronation Street has been extremely emotional this week as fans said goodbye to beloved Sinead Tinker (played by Katie McGlynn). The new mother to little Bertie passed away after her battle with cervical cancer which has dominated the ITV soap for the past couple of months.
An extremely weak Sinead was left bed-bound and just wanted to be around her husband, Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), and her little boy.
She told her husband she wasn’t ready to die but could feel it coming.
Daniel tried to keep her quiet and comfortable, insisting he didn’t want her to go.
However, when little Bertie cried out, Sinead asked her husband to read their child a bedtime story.

Others were quick to praise Katie for her emotional performance throughout the difficult storyline.
“Both you (Katie) and Corrie deserve a big award for tackling one of the crulest facts of life!!!!,” said one fan.
A second commented: “We’re going to miss you! You’ve been absolutely amazing as Sinead, and your acting during this heartbreaking storyline, along with @Rob_Mallard has been phenomenal. Good luck in all you do in the future.”
Another praised: “You have done a fantastic Job in the cancer storyline and definitely have my vote at the NTA awards ad you deserve to win your a brilliant actress Katie and Sinead will be missed on Corrie best of luck for the future Katie xxx.”
