X FACTOR: Celebrity's Olivia Olson burst into tears after she was booted out of the competition with Ricki Lake.
Olivia, 27, sobbed and shook her head, as fans admitted they were stunned that Simon Cowell decided to save journalist Martin Bashir over the Love Actually star.
Louis Walsh's act looked visibly distraught and the American star was inconsolable after Simon claimed that viewers would prefer to see Martin, 56, return next week.
He insisted: "I think you are both in this situation because of song choices. Being impartial, I'm going to make this decision based on who I think the public want to see next week.
"Based on that reason the person I am sending home is unfortunately Olivia."
Turning to Olivia, presenter Dermott O'Leary saw her crying and remarked: "Come on. Hold this together. How are we doing?"
Speaking through tears, Olivia responded: "Not great."
Dermot tried to calm the singer down as he added: "With you though, you know, you've come over here. You have been embraced by this audience.
"I've heard your stuff, you've got some great original stuff. I've heard it on Spotify, I've heard it out there."
He then hugged Olivia and said: "Try and use this as a springboard and continue doing what you're doing."
But fans were outraged on Twitter following Olivia's heartbreaking reaction and accused the show of being "fake".
One said: "What a steaming pile of fake s***e. Cowell you should be ashamed."
One person said on Twitter: "Simon actually think we would rather hear Martin sing again over Olivia I HAVE NO WORDS!!"
Another viewer said: "That just proves why #XFactor #Xfactorcelebrity needs to be scrapped that was the most ridiculous voting to save I've ever seen!"
Another wrote: "#XFactorCelebrity is as fake as the normal #XFactor cos the wrong people have gone whilst Martin stayed and he was out off tune throughout his song."
Olivia starred in 2003 movie Love Actually, which also starred Colin Firth, Emma Thompson, Liam Neeson and Keira Knightley.
Olivia had become known for her sensational voice after she sang in closing scenes of the classic rom-com.
In the festive flick, she was the crush of schoolboy Sam and sang Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas Is You at the end of the film.
Since appearing in Love Actually the film star has gone on to forge a character in voice-over acting and has continued with her singing.
In 2013, she released her debut EP, Beauty in Chaos and she often shows off her vocal on her YouTube channel, which has more than 60,000 subscribers.
Meanwhile, Ricki Lake found herself in the bottom three acts and was the first to be told that she was going home.
After hearing her name called, she said: "I guess I better stick to the day job."
