It's been an emotionally charged week on Coronation Street, as Sinead Osbourne (Katie McGlynn) tragically passed away from cervical cancer – not long after finding out that her husband Daniel (Rob Mallard) had shared a kiss with Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon).
Although Sinead urged her husband to forgive himself for the kiss and eventually died holding his hand, plenty of Corrie fans were still furious at the development between Daniel and Bethany.
And actress Lucy, who plays Bethany, has revealed that some fans have been so angered by the way the storyline developed that they've been sending her abuse over social media.

"People are not very happy with me!" she told The Sun. "It's been really hard. It's one of those stories that's so important and so many people have been affected by it.
"Everyone who watched it will be able to relate to it in a kind of way. And there have been a few nasty comments on my social media.
"But do you know what I find funny? People sometimes can't differentiate between me as a person and the character I play. It's just like, 'You are the worst person in the world!'"
While many viewers saw Daniel kissing Bethany as him cheating on Sinead, Lucy views the situation differently.

"I feel like it was important for Corrie to show that Daniel was suffering so much, and he was losing his mind, that the kiss was just a moment where he wanted comfort," she explained.
"It wasn't like he was 'cheating' on his wife. I don't see it like that. And Bethany is obviously guilt-stricken."
With Lucy set to leave Corrie in 2020, there are still plenty of directions this storyline could go in before Bethany departs the cobbles.
Meanwhile Katie McGlynn, who played Sinead, has revealed that she's been seeing a counsellor since leaving the soap after she realised she was grieving for Sinead.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
