PIERS Morgan was in a flirty mood on today's Good Morning Britain as he told plus-sized Victoria's Secret model Ali Tate Cutler she's "hot".

The body positive campaigner, who is a size 14, has become the brand's first ever plus-sized model as it looks to broaden its appeal beyond its famous supermodel runway show.

However, Piers questioned why change was needed, telling Ali: "I'm not saying you're not hot because clearly you are. I'll probably get arrested for saying that.

"Before I get arrested the point is why do we need to change Victoria's Secret.

"Why does it need to rebrand itself with plus-sized models?"

When Susanna Reid argued Victoria's Secret has a different purpose to a sexy stage show like Magic Mike, Piers replied: "Victoria's Secret is selling a fantasy, and that's how they sell their underwear."

Piers has history when it comes to criticising plus-sized models.

Last year he ripped into Cosmopolitan magazine for using Tess Holliday on the cover.

The famous shot showed the 34-year-old model posing in a green one-piece while blowing a kiss.

But Piers wasn't impressed, sharing the cover on Instagram and writing: "As Britain battles an ever-worsening obesity crisis, this is the new cover of Cosmo.

"Apparently we’re supposed to view it as a ‘huge step forward for body positivity.’ What a load of old baloney. This cover is just as dangerous & misguided as celebrating size zero models."

Tess, who is 5ft 5ins tall and weighs 20 stone (280lbs), responded to the criticism, posting on Twitter: "To everyone saying I’m a burden to the British health care system, I’m american so you don’t have to worry about my fat a**.

"Worry about what horrible people you are by whining about how me being on the cover of a glossy magazine impacts your small minded life."
