Royal heartbreak: Meghan and Harry flooded with supportive messages after tour revelations - Express

ITV presenter, Tom Bradby, followed the royal couple on their recent ten-day tour of southern Africa, gaining unprecedented access to Meghan and Harry. In the documentary Harry and Meghan: An African Journey, the Duke and Duchess opened up on their struggles. Royal fans were particularly moved by Meghan’s admission that she “was not really ok”, when asked by Mr Bradby.

In one episode of the programme, she thanked the presenter for asking, claiming that "not many people" have checked whether she was truly ok.

She said: “Well, I guess, and also thank you for asking, but not many people have asked if I’m ok, but it’s a very real thing to be faint through behind the scenes.”

Meghan is then asked: "And the answer is, would it be fair to say, not really ok?

"As in, it’s really been a struggle?"

To which Meghan simply answered "yes".

Twitter users flocked to her support, flooding the social media site with heartwarming messages of sympathy.

One user wrote: “Dunno how you can watch this and not feel a slither of sympathy.

“I couldn’t go through what Meghan’s been subjected to now, never mind throughout pregnancy & whilst becoming a new mom.

Royal snub: Harry and Meghan's shock plans to ditch UK

Although the majority expressed sympathy and the couple topped Twitter trends in the UK, not all messages were positive.

One user criticised the Sussexes for using tax payers’ money to redecorate their home at Frogmore Cottage.

In an angry tweet, the user wrote: “I wouldn't feel too sorry for them. We (as taxpayers) gave them millions recently so they could do some decorating.”

Another posted:”I’ve really gone off Harry and Megan. The more I see from them at the moment, the more they annoy me.

“They could do with taking a leaf out of Will and Kate’s book.”

In the documentary Harry opened up on just how much he is still haunted by the memories of his dead mother, Princess Diana.

When asked whether he felt at peace yet with her memories, the Prince revealingly admitted that he wasn’t and that the wounds still festered.

He vowed to protect his family, saying: ”Everything that she went through, and what happened to her, is incredibly important every single day, and that is not me being paranoid, that is just me not wanting a repeat of the past.

“If anybody else knew what I knew, be it a father or be it a husband, be it anyone, you would probably be doing exactly what I am doing as well.”
