Will Smith’s new movie Gemini Man is reportedly expected to lose $75 million (£58 million) following a slow start at the box office.
We feel for you, Will.
The Hollywood Reporter stated the new sci-fi movie debuted with just $20 million (£15.4 million) when it opened in North America a week ago and only grossed $8.5 million (£6.5 million) on its second weekend.
While that’s a lot of money to us mere mortals, in movie terms it a lot less exciting.
The Movie apparently cost about $140 million (£108 million) to make and an additional $100 million (£77.1 million) was spent on marketing.
All hope was placed on the world’s second-biggest movie-going market in China but even the Chinese fans couldn’t breathe life back into it.
Gemini Man – which earned $21 million (£16.2 million) – couldn’t beat out Maleficent: Mistress of Evil as it took in $1.4 million (£1 million) more.
In total, the global take is only at $118.7 million (£91.5 million).

The movie has the actor portraying an assassin who comes face-to-face with his younger self (yeah, maybe this is where they went wrong) trying to kill him.
You’d think having more than one Will Smith is enough to make anyone excited, but even director Ang Lee couldn’t make it work.
On the bright side, critics and viewers praised the de-ageing effects and impressive special effects despite the sci-fi not exactly being a work of art.
Ang Lee, with no thanks to Gemini Man, has now set his own record for his worst-ever Rotten Tomatoes score with 25%.
Either way, Will will most likely be laughing all the way to the bank as it is only his eighth-worst.
What’s the worst one, you ask?
Student Of The Year 2 (which we have never heard of) got a 7% score but in Will’s defence, he wasn’t even starring in it.
