Emmerdale has aired Ellis Chapman's final scenes tonight after actor Asan N'Jie was fired from the show over an incident at the TV Choice Awards in September.
Last month, ITV confirmed that it had terminated the actor's contract with immediate effect following an investigation into reports that he and Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas brawled at London's Hilton Park Lane Hotel and had to be separated twice.
And while N'Jie's character Ellis has been seen on screen in recent weeks, tonight's (October 17) double bill marked his final appearance on Emmerdale as his brother Billy (Jay Kontzle) revealed that Ellis had left the village to join mum Jessie in Dubai.

Viewers will know that Ellis and Billy's relationship has been fraught recently as the brothers have been arguing over Billy's loyalty to his dad Al (Michael Wildman).
With Ellis' behaviour growing increasingly erratic, things came to an abrupt end when Billy later told Kim (Claire King) and Al that his brother had left the village to take on a new job with mum Jessie, who recently left the village to start a new job in Dubai.
"If you're heading back to the site, there's something you might want to know. You're a man down," Billy told Al and Kim.
"It's nothing bad – well, not for Ellis anyway. Don't freak out, but he's got another job. Honestly, Mum's snowed under at her new job, needed help in the PE department. No offence, but it's a no brainer really."
With Billy explaining that Ellis has gone abroad to make a load of money in Dubai, he offered up his own services as a dogsbody for the duo's business venture.
"Well, there's no use shooting the messenger," Al agreed.
There was one final twist in the story though, as Billy later told Dawn that he was the one who organised the job for Ellis, wanting to get him away from Al's influence.
"At least he's getting away from him. He'll need 1000 miles to get away from that parasite," he told her. "I want this, so I can be sure that Al is staying away from Ellis for good. He's toxic."
In his own statement following the news of his firing, N'Jie described his behaviour as "completely unacceptable" and said that he accepts "full responsibility" for his actions.
"I sincerely apologise to everybody who has been affected, especially Jamie Lomas, the whole Emmerdale team, our audience, ITV, my family, and the organisers of the TV Choice Awards," he said.
"I am devastated, accept full responsibility for my actions, and I am determined to learn from this."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
