Glastonbury Festival tickets sell out in just 34 minutes - Sky News

Tickets for next year's Glastonbury Festival sold out in just 34 minutes, according to organisers.

Around 135,000 tickets went on sale on Sunday for the 50th anniversary of the event, which is held at Worthy Farm in Somerset in June.

More than two million people had registered hoping to attend.

The first batch of coach package tickets went on sale last week and sold out in just 27 minutes.

This was not as quick as in 2015, however, when it took just 20 minutes.

The festival's website said: "Tickets for Glastonbury 2020 have now sold out. Thank you to everyone who bought one, and sorry to those who missed out.

"There will be a ticket resale in April - plus we'll be announcing details of a special ballot for the sale of 50 pairs of tickets in the coming days."

The line-up has not been confirmed but folk-rockers Fleetwood Mac and former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney are among the names that have been suggested.
